Rectify

Terms of Service

Last updated: July 24, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service apply to your use of Rectify, an iPhone app for capturing projected slides and correcting angled images. By downloading or using Rectify, you agree to these terms.

2. License

Subject to these terms, you are granted a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use Rectify on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store terms and Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.

3. Appropriate Use

You are responsible for using Rectify lawfully and respectfully. You must follow venue rules, event rules, school or workplace policies, copyright restrictions, confidentiality obligations, and any instructions from presenters or organizers before photographing projected materials.

4. Image Results

Rectify detects slide areas and applies perspective correction automatically. Correction, detection, OCR, and automatic capture results may vary depending on camera angle, lighting, motion, screen content, reflections, focus, and device conditions. Rectify does not guarantee that every slide will be detected, captured, corrected, or saved accurately.

5. Storage

Depending on your settings, Rectify may save original images, rectified images, both, or neither. Images saved inside the app and images saved to the Camera Roll are separate copies. You are responsible for managing saved images and device storage.

6. Purchases and Refunds

Rectify is planned as a free download with a one-time Pro upgrade. Any final purchase options, billing, taxes, refunds, and purchase management are handled by Apple and the App Store under Apple's policies. The final price and release timing may change before launch.

7. No Warranties

Rectify is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, and error-free operation.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, missed captures, inaccurate correction results, storage issues, or losses arising from your use of Rectify.

9. Changes to the App or Terms

Rectify may be updated, changed, suspended, or discontinued. These terms may also be updated. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated terms.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan, without regard to conflict of law principles.
